Welcome to Davidson Fine Art, an
independent gallery based in Totnes,
the heart of the South Hams.
Devon and Cornwall have played host
to colonies of artists and sculptors
since the late 19th century and thriving
communities still exist. It is for
this reason that we specialize in
West Country painters and sculptors,
giving some of our most original talent
an opportunity to show their work.
Two of our region's biggest names
are John
Chancellor and Robert
Lenkiewicz. We are the main
outlet for the late, great marine
painter's prints and originals; all
can be viewed on this site.
We also specialize in the original
works of Lenkiewicz and are an outlet
for the books published about him.
The gallery represents a small selection
of what we consider to be some of
the best artists working in the area.
These include Valerie
Davide, whose madcap animal drawings
in charcoal depict excitable Jack
Russells, inquisitive cows and frisky
horses, they have to be seen to be
appreciated.
Richard
Thorn is best known for his coastal
views in watercolour but has recently
had great success with his mixed media
works too. Richard remains enchanted
by our coast and countryside, themes
that have always formed the basis
of his work. He captures the
very essence of our beautiful county
in a very distinctive style, encompassing
strong use of colour counter-balanced
by delicate use of light.
Loddiswell-based Keith
Stott specializes in views of
Dartmoor and works in pastel.
His long love affair with this vast
and beautiful part of Devon is intricately
portrayed in all its many moods.

Our aim is to offer the finest quality and the best personal service
in whatever we do, we are here to advise and offer the benefit of
our experience.
When practical, you can view a piece that appeals under no obligation
in your home; we understand that art isn't always the sort of thing
you buy on-line.
We also offer a finders service. Should you collect something in particular,
be it the works of a specific artist, or glass and pottery by a particular
maker, we'll do our best to source it for you.
